Using a disposable email is perfectly legal in France, Europe, and most countries. It's even encouraged by data protection authorities (CNIL in France) to limit tracking exposure. The only limit: some platforms (banks, government services, legal signatures) require a permanent address for identity verification — use your real address only for those specific cases.
Disposable email services look similar on the surface but differ on key points: hosting (mail123.click is hosted in France at OVH, GDPR-compliant; some competitors are in the US), API and widget (we offer a public API and a JavaScript embed widget, few competitors do), radical transparency (our statistics are public and our privacy policy is detailed). See the detailed comparison for precise differences.
For social networks, create your mail123.click inbox and use it during signup. Warning: some platforms (LinkedIn notably) block disposable emails at registration. If blocked, try another of our 12 domains. Once registration is validated, notifications arrive normally in your inbox. Important note: inboxes are public by design — don't use mail123.click if losing access to the account would have serious consequences (work account, paid subscription, etc.).
We apply GDPR via minimization (article 5.1.c): we collect only what's strictly necessary for the service to function. Your emails are deleted after 7 days (article 5.1.e). No account creation, no user profile, and no advertising cookie without your consent. For full details — subcontractors (OVH, Bunny CDN), retention periods, your 7 GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, etc.) — see our privacy policy.
As with any mailbox, you can receive phishing emails. Never click suspicious links and don't enter sensitive credentials. Important specificity of disposable inboxes: since they are public by design (anyone knowing the alias can read received mails), never use mail123.click for sensitive information — banks, critical passwords, 2FA codes, high-value credentials.
No. Mailbox pages are not indexed by search engines. Our robots.txt explicitly blocks /mailbox/* and /mail/* URLs, and we return an X-Robots-Tag: noindex HTTP header on those pages. Inboxes remain however accessible to anyone directly knowing the alias (public reading by design).
mail123.click is an independent project developed by Vincent (see the About page). The service is funded by non-intrusive ads via networks (Google AdSense, Adsterra) covering the hosting costs (OVH server in France) and domain names. No personal data is sold to third parties. No investor, no funding round — just a dev paying his own bills. See our public statistics to understand actual service usage.
Yes! mail123.click offers a complete REST API, fully documented. You can create inboxes, list/read/delete emails, and fetch attachments — all in JSON, with no authentication or API key. Ideal for automating signup tests, CI/CD integrations, or feeding QA tools. Documentation: /api. Public statistics also exposed via /api/stats/export.json (CC-BY 4.0 license).
mail123.click offers an exclusive JavaScript embed widget. A single line of code (<script src='https://mail123.click/static/js/embed.js'>) embeds a temporary inbox in your website, perfect for tutorials, product demos, test environments or onboarding. Tailwind compatible, auto dark/light mode, responsive. See /widget for code and customization options.
We publish in real-time and transparently all our statistics on the stats page: number of mails received (cumulative historical + current state), top sender domains, hourly activity, size distribution. Data under CC-BY 4.0 license, downloadable in JSON or CSV. "Radical transparency" approach — rare in the disposable email industry.
